Landscapes in Linoprint

This was the first project after finishing University. Having spent a lot of time working on portraiture, developing a unique style for printing buildings and scenery was an interesting challenge. After a few unsuccessful, multiple reduction prints of the surrounding areas, a single reduction print using just black ink was tested, adding watercolour paint to give it some colour. This technique worked particularly well and the style began to grow, advancing more into observing and studying churches and older buildings, rather than scenery.
